Description
Blend: 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot.
The 2023 Beychevelle is “without artifice”, according to Erwan Le Brozec. This year, the property enjoyed a long harvesting period, picking for 17 days over a month. Although the blend is 35% Merlot, the 2023 vintage has the highest proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon ever at 61%. The purity of fruit and concentration on the palate is impressive and held in check by serious yet well-integrated tannins. There is abundant elegance and finesse with Beychevelle’s DNA on full display here.

Saint-Julien
St Julien is the smallest of the ‘Big Four’ Médoc communes although, without any First Growths, it is recognised to be the most consistent of the main communes with many châteaux turning out impressive wines year after year. The wines can be judged as much by texture as flavour, and there is a sleek, wholesome character to the best. At their very finest they combine Margaux’s elegance and refinement with Pauillac’s power and substance.

Chateau Beychevelle
Château Beychevelle is a 4ème Cru Classé St-Julien wine property that boasts one of the most impressive châteaux in the whole of the Médoc. Its label depicts a beautiful galley with a large sail, as a consequence of its ownership in the 16th century by the Duc d`Eperon, Admiral of France at the time. The expression "Baisse-Vaille", meaning "lower sails", later evolved into the name Beychevelle. Today the property is owned by Grands Millésimesde France.
