Description
Diego and Damiano’s Barbera hails from their indomitable San Giovanni vineyard, with their vines here planted in 2016. Bright and convivial, this soars with damson, sweet-and-sour cherry and refreshing redcurrants, with light spice on the finish. Whilst this is a fun wine to drink now, it certainly has the capacity to rest for a while in your cellar.

About this wine
Barbera
Barbera is planted extensively in Piedmont and south-west Lombardy and accounts for over 50% of the wine produced in the region. The majority is sold simply as Barbera del Piemonte, but the best wines are the DOCs, Barbera d'Alba and Barbera d'Asti. It ripens late (after Dolcetto but before Nebbiolo).

Versatile with Italian cuisine, it is a beloved choice in Piedmont despite being regularly overshadowed by Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
