2021 Joey Tensley, Fundamental Chardonnay, Central Coast, California, USA

Description

The 2021 Fundamental Chardonnay may say ‘Central Coast’ on the label but, in reality, it was made from 100% Santa Barbara fruit this vintage. The nose is fine, lemony and elegant, leading to a fresh palate of pear and pithy, green apples. The texture is fine and rounded and the wine feels very pure. A refreshing note of tart apple lingers with a savoury twist on the rewarding finish.
