Description
This cuvée takes blending to a new eclectic level. Viognier is in the fore but less than a third of the blend. Petit Manseng, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc are paired up with Neheleschol, Amigne, Khondorni and Grechetto to name but a few of the 10 more uncommon grapes found in each vintage. Macerated on the skins for 5 to 7 days, the wine has a richness in both flavour and texture. Unoaked, the focus is allowing the fresh fruit flavours to sing. Enjoyable on arrival but can be left up to 15 years to develop intense dried apricot, honey and hazelnut character.

Mas de Daumas Gassac
Famously described as the ‘First Growth of the Languedoc’, Mas De Daumas Gassac remains unique in the region. The world-famous red is an intriguing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon along with a mix of indigenous and more unusual varieties from the south of France, such as Grenache, Cinsualt and Tempranillo. Mas De Daumas Gassac Blanc is a similarly fascinating blend of grape varieties, with Chardonnay and Viognier taking centre stage. Lauded across the wine world, not for nothing is this Domaine named the Lafite of the Languedoc.
