Description
This is a very special rosé from the mind of José Luis Ripa Sáenz de Navarrete, who has employed all his experience at López de Heredia to make an incredibly complex, gastronomic and age-worthy pink wine. A blend of 85% old vine Garnacha and 15% Tempranillo, the aromas of dried orange blossom, garrigues and strawberries spring from the glass.
The texture is so smooth, and the complex palate, dry finish, and relatively full body allow this outstanding rosé to pair with many dishes, mainly East Asian cuisine. It’s definitely a talking point for the dinner table, one for impressing your adventurous wine friends – or sipping on a warm summer evening accompanied by light tapas. The 2019 is still slightly closed on the nose, but it has more mineral lick on the finish than the 2018, so it’s worth leaving in your cellar to watch it develop.
