This wine comes entirely from Barale’s prized San Giovanni site. The brothers use both the coldest and hottest sections of the vineyard, blended to give a harmonising richness and freshness to final wine. This Nebbiolo truly overperforms, combining Barolo power with immediate delicacy. One year in used tonneaux gives this wine a sophisticated polish, without masking the scented perfume, charming fruit and mineral details. Drink 2022-2030.

Nebbiolo

Nebbiolo is the grape behind the Barolo and Barbaresco wines and is hardly ever seen outside the confines of Piedmont. It takes its name from "nebbia" which is Italian for fog, a frequent phenomenon in the region.
