2019 Chablis, Les Clos, Grand Cru, Domaine Pinson Frères, Burgundy

Description

From a healthy 2.5-hectare holding, this was fermented in 20% new oak, the rest in tank. Somewhat closed at present, there’s earthy spice and tightly wound white stone-fruit on the nose. The palate is stinging in both concentration and austerity. There’s a huge ball of fruit tightly bound up in the spicy, chewy structure. There’s plenty of potential. Drink 2025-2035.
