Description
This cuvée is from a 0.75-hectare site of 65-year-old vines on white clay soil. The clay and old vines helped to resist the warm summer. White flowers and crushed chalk fill the nose; the palate is firm and mineral with a focused thread of acidity. It’ll gain weight with time but is tightly wound at present. Drink 2024-2032.

Burgundy is Chardonnay's spiritual home and the best White Burgundies are dry, rich, honeyed wines with marvellous poise, elegance and balance. They are unquestionably the finest dry white wines in the world. Chardonnay plays a crucial role in the Champagne blend, providing structure and finesse, and is the sole grape in Blanc de Blancs.
