Description
This high vineyard, with skinny topsoil over white marl, is identifiable by its racy, fresh style: it’s not so much mineral as cool and floral. That reserve is accentuated here, and its acidity is more citric than its peers. Charming and open to begin, its freshness then tightens the palate. There are waxy notes and great length. Drink 2022-2030.

Neal Martin MW 89-91/100
The 2019 Meursault Les Tillets comes from a 0.74-hectare plot. Racked just before harvest, it has a tightly wound, focused, stony bouquet, light lemon thyme and jasmine scents emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and more animated and tensile than the Meursault Village, revealing a dab of lemongrass on the finish. It cuts off a little swiftly on the aftertaste, but otherwise this should develop nicely in bottle. Neil Martin, Vinous.com
Jasper Morris MW 90-93/100
Racked and sulphured before harvest. Lemon and lime colour, more reductive. Real tight and tense here at the back, very tightly wound despite the evident wealth of fruit, lovely finish, racy and distinguished.Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com (December 2020)

Domaine Antoine Jobard
This white-wine focused domaine is renowned for its steely, taut Meursault. Antoine joined his father, François, here in 2002. He assumed sole charge in ’07, after his father’s 50th vintage. Initially, any changes were minimal. Now, there’s a clear move towards earlier bottling, with two winters in barrel no longer seen as the yardstick. This is both a stylistic choice and a response to warmer and earlier harvests. All decisions are now taken with a view towards greater flexibility, allowing more or less reduction from barrel age as required.
