Description
This vineyard sits between two of the region’s most expensive and desirable vineyards: Falletto and Francia. Grown between 350-450 metres above sea level, the vineyard is split into two; both halves are included in this blend, boosting its quality and tension. 24 months in botti grande gives high-toned, balsamic top notes, complementing the floral details, glassy fruit and finely-tuned tannins.

James Suckling 91/100
Medium-bodied Barolo with bright strawberry and cedary spice on the nose and palate. Intense enough, but very tight on the palate now with very fine, firm tannins, so give it time to expand. Try from 2024.james_suckling, jamessuckling_com (Jan 2022)
About this wine
Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is the grape behind the Barolo and Barbaresco wines and is hardly ever seen outside the confines of Piedmont. It takes its name from "nebbia" which is Italian for fog, a frequent phenomenon in the region.

Cantina Bruna Grimaldi
In the 1950s, Giacomo Grimaldi set his family on a quality winemaking path. This saw him move away from bulk production, introduce pioneering viticultural practices, nurture vineyard wellbeing and introduce vintage bottlings. In 1990, the winery passed into the hands of his daughter Bruna, after whom the cantina was consequently renamed.
