Description
Barrua comes from south-western Sardinia, from an area known as Basso Sulcis. It has a complex and perfumed nose of red cherries, blackcurrant, plum and spice, with subtle notes of salty liquorice. On the palate, there’s sage, alongside ripe, juicy red fruit and a hint of black pepper. The tannins are dry and grippy, creating a harmonious finish. Elegant, fresh and balanced, this is a wine that will reward patience, developing further complexity in the bottle.
