Description
Prapò lies at the base of Cerretta in Serralunga, where the high proportion of silt and clay often produces punchy wines. This is Luigi’s first year producing his own wine and has turned to his friend Davide Rosso for winemaking duties. Like Rosso’s Baroli, this wine was fermented in concrete and aged in custom, French oak botti. Still a baby, this wine is dark, rich and concentrated, with notes of balsamic, sour cherries, forest floor and spice. It has luxurious tannins and a refreshing lift. Drink 2024-2040.

About this wine
Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is the grape behind the Barolo and Barbaresco wines and is hardly ever seen outside the confines of Piedmont. It takes its name from "nebbia" which is Italian for fog, a frequent phenomenon in the region.
