Description

Although there has always been a selection made at Batailley, with the surplus being sold in bulk to Borie Manoux, the creation of a true second wine (Lions de Batailley) in 2016 has nudged quality further upwards. Justifiably perennially popular, this year's Batailley is jam-packed with sweet ripe red and black fruits, and will age very well. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2018 Batailley is deep garnet-purple in color and offers up bright Morello cherries, black raspberries and redcurrant notes over a cassis and plum preserves core with a waft of dried mint.
