Description
An absolute triumph this year, this offers everything you would wish to see from a good Sauternes – complex, rich but not overly viscous or sweet. Orange rind, peaches and pineapple are encased in a honeysuckle perfume. The palate comes alive with more tropical fruit and refreshing acidity which bounds round the mouth playing tricks on your taste buds. The finale is a perfect finish which just goes on and on. This is extremely different to recent offerings and, if you are a Sauternes fan, an absolute must.

Jancis Robinson MW 18/20
Round and complete with many layers of interest and an intriguingly dry finish after lots of sweetness and botrytis. Really well done! You could almost enjoy this already but there is lots more to come. Drink 2024-2050 jancis_robinson_mw MW - JancisRobinson.com - Apr 2016

Neal Martin MW 95-97/100
The 2015 Suduiraut comes with 123 grams per liter of residual sugar, more modest than some of its Sauternes peers and 4.56 grams per liter of acidity. It has a sense of completeness on the nose already: immense clarity with wild honey and quince aromas that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with very pure botrytised fruit, very focused and one of the most intense Sauternes you will find this year. It feels long and sophisticated in the mouth yet never overpowers, never really has to put its foot right down on the accelerator. This is a wonderful Suduiraut, not quite up to the level of the ethereal 2009...although not too far off.Neil Martin - 28/04/2016

A phenomenal white with dried fruits such as apricots and mangos. Masses of bortrytis spice. Full body yet agile and bright with incredible lightness and delicacy. So much cherry blossom too. Small white flowers. Medium sweet. Ginger. Great finish. james_suckling - jamessuckling_com - Apr 2016

Ian D'Agata 93/100
Brooding aromas and flavours of cedar, ginger and spring flowers. Very long, tactile and tannic finish. Will need a long time to develop fully. Drink: 2020-2035 Ian D’Agata - decanter.com - April 2016

About this wine
Chateau Suduiraut
Château Suduiraut is located in the commune of Preignac and its vineyards border those of d`Yquem. The property has a long history stretching back to the 15th century. Only a solitary wing remains of the original château, as it was destroyed by the Duc d`Eperon in the 16th century. The present château was built in the 17th century by the Suduiraut family, who also commissioned a spectacular garden designed by Le Nôtre. Suduiraut was classified as a 1er Cru Classé in 1855.
