Description
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Charles Palmer acquiring the estate, Ch. Palmer have made two outstanding Margaux wines this year and it is the first vintage which has been biodynamically farmed. The Petit Verdot in the blend offers wonderful aromatics and the red fruit is really singing on the nose. This is lush, approachable, intensely juicy and incredibly attractive. Fine, fresh and pure, is has nice crunchy fruit on the finish. This wine is very good indeed. The length is quite astonishing for a second wine; but then this has been honed into the Grand Vin style for many years now and has long been one of the top wines in its class. Oh la la!

About this wine
Château Palmer
Château Palmer is a leading wine estate in Margaux. Within its appellation, Palmer is certainly the closest rival to its first growth neighbor, Ch. Margaux. Although officially ranked a Third Growth, at their best, the wines of Ch. Palmer are among the greatest anywhere in Bordeaux.

Margaux
If Pauillac is the bastion of ‘traditional’ Red Bordeaux, Margaux represents its other facet in producing wines that are some of the region’s most sensual and alluring. The largest commune in the Médoc, it encompasses the communes of Cantenac, Soussans, Arsac and Labaude, in addition to the village of Margaux itself. Its finest examples are paragons of refinement and subtlety which have few parallels in Bordeaux.
