Description
In the talented hands of the charismatic Charles Chevalier this is another very fine Carruades. Polished and attractive, this very grand Second wine of Lafite has lovely creamy blackcurrant and strawberry fruit, with a persistence rarely seen in 2006. A delicate, harmonious red fruit nose, leads onto a silky, feminine palate and a beautifully balanced finish. This is an excellent, and very good value, glimpse at the wonders of Ch. Lafite but is also a very good wine in its own right.

Pauillac
The aristocrat of the Médoc boasts 75 percent of the region’s First Growths, with Grand Cru Classés representing 84 percent of production. Pauillac's First Growths each have their own unique characteristics: Ch. Lafite Rothschild produces the region’s most aromatically-complex and subtly-flavoured wine, while – with its high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon – Ch. Mouton Rothschild can produce a decadently rich, fleshy and exotic wine.
