Description
Martin Isark - Scotland On Sunday (27/01/2002) - This chteau is owned and run by the wealthy Sichel family. Ben Sichel's ethos is that the balance should be achieved in the vineyard rather than in the winery. Claret lovers will enthuse over this traditional style that delivers blackfruits, pencil shavings, cigar boxes threaded with ripe tannins, all backed by firm acidity. Better than many 50 bottles.

Margaux
If Pauillac is the bastion of ‘traditional’ Red Bordeaux, Margaux represents its other facet in producing wines that are some of the region’s most sensual and alluring. The largest commune in the Médoc, it encompasses the communes of Cantenac, Soussans, Arsac and Labaude, in addition to the village of Margaux itself. Its finest examples are paragons of refinement and subtlety which have few parallels in Bordeaux.
