Description
Although only a Cru Bourgeois, this Sichel owned chteau is thought of as a cru class as the quality has gone from strength to strength. A mechanical havest and fermentation in cement tanks is followed by maturation in 20% new oak for 12 months and a further 5 months in tanks before fining and bottling. The wine is supple, classically silky with open jammy black fruit flavours, hesbs, spice and toast. Rich and well-balanced, drinking from now to 2015.

Margaux
If Pauillac is the bastion of ‘traditional’ Red Bordeaux, Margaux represents its other facet in producing wines that are some of the region’s most sensual and alluring. The largest commune in the Médoc, it encompasses the communes of Cantenac, Soussans, Arsac and Labaude, in addition to the village of Margaux itself. Its finest examples are paragons of refinement and subtlety which have few parallels in Bordeaux.
