Introduction to the Wines Of Italy, Friday 15th November 2024
- Friday 15 November 2024
- 18:30 - 20:30
Description
With an estimated 1,000-plus indigenous grape varieties, the wines of Italy can be baffling even to the well-versed wine-drinker and downright daunting to the uninitiated. Though impossible to taste every single grape variety in a two-hour masterclass, during this relaxed yet educational evening, we will aim to demystify the country and leave you feeling able to tackle your next Italian wine list with confidence and gusto.
After an apéritif, your host will guide you through 10 white and red wines, with classic regions such as the Veneto, Piedmont and Tuscany represented alongside some slightly more left-field choices. As ever, to keep you going through the evening, we will provide a delicious selection of Italian olives, cheese and charcuterie, served with freshly baked focaccia.
