Description

This is an outstanding Chardonnay with an enticing bouquet of pear, white peach and a hint of quince. The palate is complex and textured with persistent notes of intense citrus and stone fruits leading onto a long mineral finish. There’s a sparkling freshness and a very satisfying salinity which reverberates through this wine. This is immensely enjoyable now but will cellar well for the next 3-5 years.

Fermented 50% in 228-litre, 50% in 300-litre François Frères barrels. Aged nine months in 23% new barrels. Ambient yeast and their own, commercially available, Sauvage strain.More nose than most Hemel Chardonnays. Almost opulent! Rich start and then very fresh with some salinity and lots of impact on the palate. Chardonnay
