Description
This has an intense red cherry coulis nose, brimming with cherry chocolate, exotic Persian spice and a lift of fresh garden sage. The palate is incredible, with hugely concentrated flavours of cherries and macerated raspberries which smother the senses. The dense, fine, chalky tannins resolve seamlessly and become liquid-smooth. This is a beautiful expression of incredible, ancient vines.

Matt Walls 97/100
Impressive depth of colour for the vintage, this is extremely round, fresh, clear and well-defined. Tannins are present and fairly strict in style, but they're ripe, and all in all this is exceptionally promising. Not huge in fruit or body, but well-balanced and precise. from 120-year-old vines planted on north-facing clay and sand lieux-dits of Charbonnières and Esquières. Fermented in concrete, aged in foudre.Drink 2030 - 2042matt_walls, Decanter.com (Oct 2021)
