75 cl Bottle
Description
This is from 1.80 hectares across seven parcels: five from Les Enseignères, one each from Rue Rousseau and Les Meix. All are brilliantly placed, underneath Bâtard, Bienvenues and Pucelles. It’s hard to think of a better-located village example. The rich bouquet has a note of acacia and honey, carrying through to the palate, underlined by density and grip. Drink 2023-2030.

Pale lemon and lime. The bouquet is immediately present, some fresh herbs as much as flowers, fresh apple too, this is quite austere up front, but with much more weight behind waiting to emerge. This is looking backward at the moment, but I expect it to blossom in the bottle.Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy_com (January 2022)
About this wine
Chardonnay
Chardonnay is often seen as the king of white wine grapes and one of the most widely planted in the world It is suited to a wide variety of soils, though it excels in soils with a high limestone content as found in Champagne, Chablis, and the Côte D`Or. Burgundy is Chardonnay's spiritual home and the best White Burgundies are dry, rich, honeyed wines with marvellous poise, elegance and balance. They are unquestionably the finest dry white wines in the world. Chardonnay plays a crucial role in the Champagne blend, providing structure and finesse, and is the sole grape in Blanc de Blancs.
