Description
Named for the pointy, dog tooth-shaped stones once piled here by vignerons, this vineyard is well-sited high on the slope next to Premier Cru Champs Gain. This wine is impeccably balanced. The nose is open and expressive, with floral and sunny citrus notes. There’s juicy, ripe fruit on the palate, wrapped around a core of cooling acidity. Drink 2023-2027.

The 2019 Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chien 1er Cru has a wonderful bouquet with beautifully defined mineral-rich fruit, traces of white peach and melon and crushed pebbles. It is very focused and classic in style. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, the most saline of Bachelet’s Saint-Aubin’s with a very long aftertaste. This is an outstanding wine from one of the appellation's most propitious climats.Neil Martin, Vinous.com
About this wine
Chardonnay
Chardonnay is often seen as the king of white wine grapes and one of the most widely planted in the world It is suited to a wide variety of soils, though it excels in soils with a high limestone content as found in Champagne, Chablis, and the Côte D`Or. Burgundy is Chardonnay's spiritual home and the best White Burgundies are dry, rich, honeyed wines with marvellous poise, elegance and balance. They are unquestionably the finest dry white wines in the world. Chardonnay plays a crucial role in the Champagne blend, providing structure and finesse, and is the sole grape in Blanc de Blancs.
