Description
This is Crété Chamberlin’s first year of production for this cuvée, sourced from 4 of their Premier Cru vineyards in the Cote des Blancs: one of which being their “Chaffour” vineyard, planted back in 1953. This is pure expression of terroir, with no malolactic fermentation and 100% stainless steel fermentation, all hand-riddled and having spent 4 years on lees.
The colour is a pale, summery gold, with a nose of vibrant orchard fruits and subtle hints of citrus zest and wet stone. The mousse is creamy and velvety, and the finish is long and linear with a touch of flinty complexity.
Pure and energetic, this champagne is perfect to drink now until 2028.

About this wine
Chardonnay
Chardonnay is often seen as the king of white wine grapes and one of the most widely planted in the world It is suited to a wide variety of soils, though it excels in soils with a high limestone content as found in Champagne, Chablis, and the Côte D`Or. Burgundy is Chardonnay's spiritual home and the best White Burgundies are dry, rich, honeyed wines with marvellous poise, elegance and balance. They are unquestionably the finest dry white wines in the world. Chardonnay plays a crucial role in the Champagne blend, providing structure and finesse, and is the sole grape in Blanc de Blancs.
