Description

This is, arguably, the most approachable of the Grands Crus in the cellar. There’s a certain generosity, reinforced slightly by the oak, which will need a little time to integrate. The palate is rich and suave with a rounded opulence to the stone-fruit. Pleasant acidity cleanses the palate on the finish, keeping things in check. Drink 2024-2032.

Pale lime notes, a weight of fruit, not exotic but still clearly ripe. Even quite discreet but it is all there. Really interesting detailed range of flavours, some orange zest then a little prickle of minerality, next up is some yellow fruit, then a long classical finish. (from a 1.02 ha parcel). Subtle but not invisible wood sets off aromas of white flowers, citrus, a whiff of exotic fruit and wet chalk. The rich yet elegantly textured medium weight flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension before terminating in a focused and exceptionally long finish.
